In March, Fondation Nicolas Hulot launched a large-scale media campaign to raise the visibility of innovative climate solutions, urging web surfers to vote for the most valuable projects. The commitment to social and economic responsibility and innovative energy solutions shown during the Bardzour project (Detention Centre, Port de la Réunion) was hailed by more than 75,000 votes during this campaign, making us the overall winner with widespread media attention for our project.

This is not only the first solar project in the world with storage for a power station of 9 MW (stable solar energy production for 12,000 inhabitants), it is also an unprecedented social and environmental project. The project helps prepare convicts for their return to society by teaching them market-gardening skills (thanks to 6,000 m2 of PV greenhouses) as well as beekeeping, key for the preservation of the island's biodiversity.

The NEMO project (New Energies for Martinique and Overseas), world's first OTEC power plant (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) launched in Martinique, was awarded with the European subsidy NER 300.
This plant is planned to be commissioned in summer 2019 with a considerable export potential.
